Define the manufacturing specification

Agree ingredient forms, target amounts, piece weight, serving count, flavor and texture. Identify which attributes require in-process checks and which are checked on the finished product.

From materials to a finished gummy

A gummy process can involve material preparation, controlled cooking, depositing, setting, conditioning, finishing and packing. The actual route and relevant parameters depend on the formula and equipment selected for the project.

Process checks and traceability

The project specification should define controls for weight, appearance, texture, relevant pH or water activity, and identification of ingredient lots and packing materials. Recorded checks support investigation and batch release.

cGMP, COA and heavy-metals review

Review applicable cGMP facility documents. Agree a product-specific testing plan and finished-batch COA requirements, including the basis for lead, cadmium, arsenic and mercury testing where applicable. Testing frequency and release decisions must follow the confirmed quality procedure.

Approve the package with the product

Evaluate count, closure or seal integrity, barrier requirements, label identification and stability in the final package. Agree commercial conditions after formula, sample and packaging review.
